Twittering birds never fly... or do they?

I have an endless fascination with dimensional travel through stories.

Manifesto

This is my online home. It's a queer little corner of the internet full of my favorite pop-culture characters holding hands, cuddling and kissing (regardless of gender and other bourgeois social constructs) for fun.
Also, I've been suffering from ADHD, depression and severe social anxiety for more years than I could count so please be nice if somehow for some goddamn reason you find this page. For the sake of the remnants of my mental health I may share some ramblings about my daily life and frustrations here too, besides writings and translations (my main gig, tho the last decade wasn't very nice... I'm slow and erratic creation-wise.)

Day 3

I think I'm gonna be faster now with posting. I'm on sick leave XDXDXDI couldn't tone this down to only one favorite. Hence my rambling.

1) Star Wars - Anakin Skywalker

You could call me biased because Hayden Christensen was my first ever crush. And he wasn't just beautiful; but terrifying, angry, depressed, strong, ambitious, arrogant, awkward and starved for love and everything else he needed to be. He was the perfect young Darth Vader with a tragic past that stemmed from a very meaningful and frankly gorgeous sentiment - he loved too deeply, too much and he couldn't ever let go. Which caused fear etc. (Insert some Yoda here.) His heart was so full of love, of magnificient dreams about visiting all the stars and later he had this vision about an idealistic, just society. He's the most complex and human villain in my opinion and that comes from his numerous mistakes and his (hated by so called 'hardcore Star Wars fans') flawed personality traits. His passion. A real, emotional man who's been taught to unnaturally repress those emotions for the good of the jedi, for the good of society. Sound familiar? What's not to love?
Here's two really great videos btw highlighting all the amazing points of the Prequels if anyone's interested. I love the Prequels with all my heart!

2) Teen Wolf - When Steter is all but confirmed...

Inexplicable joy. That's how I felt when Ian Bohen practically confirmed what I (and many other fans) felt throughout the series. That Peter and Stiles have an undeniable chemistry is a given. That Peter appreciates Stiles - and maybe the boy is the only one in the world - is obvious too. Peter respects him, and the proof lies in the first season. Peter is still basically a barely restrained lunatic when he offers the bite to Stiles, and he doesn't change him against his will. What the hell. Peter does what he wants. Fuck everyone else. And when he sees that Stiles wants it, but is not willing to succumb because of his loyalty toward his friends he backs off. Against his intense want to change Stiles. ASDFGHJKL
And while the majority of the fandom is a Sterek shipper, and there are many scenes to provide material for that, I admit it (khm, fanservice, it's called), I never felt any true fondness circulating between the two. I think Stiles is too much of a jittery oddball for Derek and let's be honest, he gets on Derek's nerves 99% of the time. Not in a funny way.
Besides, I can't imagine Stiles being together with someone intellectually... inferior. Sorry, but Derek is not the brightest crayon in the box, he has a moral compass that is much less... fluid than Stiles's and he's prone to fall in love with empty beauty and evil facades. He's too stupid for Stiles, plain and simple. (I"ll go hide in a corner now, sue me, but I truly think this is the case.) Peter likes Stiles's fierce intelligence, appreciates and understands it.
Wow.
He's the only one in the show. Not even the sheriff can compare to Peter in that department. Just think about all the delightful, matching sarcastic banter they're having. It's totally mutual and they create their own little bubble with it.
Ahh.
I love this.

3) Gotham - Oswald Cobblepot

aka the most badass scene in the history of film-making (okay, I may be exaggerating a tiny bit)

One thing is for sure - someone please give an Emmy to Robin Lord Taylor. Right fucking now.

It's just incredible what that amazing man is doing with Penguin's character. Gotham is not as widely known as The Flash or Legends of Tomorrow, for example and that baffles me to no end. The actors, guys. They are GOLDEN.
I can't even coherently describe how joyous I am every time I see an episode, but Penguin always steals the show.
With undeniable style.
And this scene. This says it all. My NO.1 favorite:

.
I think, this is it.
For now...

I think you're absolutely correct about Peter's appreciation of Stiles!
